Why Two of Cups?

I chose the name Two of Cups for my practice because it reflects the kind of foundation I hope to cultivate in my work: one of connection and care.

In Tarot, the suit of Cups is connected to our emotional lives—our capacity for feeling, connection, intuition, and compassion. To me, the Two of Cups represents what becomes possible when we witness ourselves and one another with curiosity, authenticity, and care. When we nurture a spirit of love and openness, this shapes the relationship we build with ourselves, the connections we cultivate with other people, and our contributions to our communities and ecosystems.

Tarot has been an important companion in my own life—not as a tool for prediction, but as a reflective practice that offers me connection, grounding, and wisdom. During a period of significant physical illness, creating my own Tarot deck became an act of alchemy that helped me stay alive to myself when so many familiar anchors were falling away. This experience deepened my belief that healing often asks us to hold both surrender and agency—to recognize what we cannot control while remaining in relationship with what is still ours to tend. There is something transformative about learning to be present with ourselves with kindness, especially when accompanied by compassionate witnessing.

For me, Two of Cups represents the quiet courage of approaching ourselves and one another with openness, curiosity, and care. It is a reminder that healing does not happen in isolation, but through the relationships we cultivate—with ourselves, with one another, and with the world we are part of.
